The Forester is Subaru's best-selling vehicle. The award-winning Forester crossover blends positive SUV attributes, including a high seating point, interior versatility and rugged off-pavement capability, with passenger car comfort, handling and fuel efficiency. Trim exterior packaging makes the Forester easy to maneuver. The Forester's robust body structure uses high-tensile-strength steel at key structural points.

New for 2013, Subaru offers the Forester compact sport-utility vehicle with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. An upgraded audio system for Forester 2.5X features Bluetooth hands-free phone connectivity and audio streaming connectivity, iPod control caapbility and a USB port. A new optional Value Package for the Forester 2.5X Premium model includes display-type audio system, fog lights and All-Weather Package (heated front seats, heated exterior mirrors and windshield wiper de-icer).

All Forester 2.5X models are powered by a 2.5-liter Boxer engine that produces 170 horsepower and 174 lb.-ft. of torque. Forester 2.5X and 2.5X Premium models offer a choice between a standard five-speed manual transmission and an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic.

The Forester 2.5XT models are powered by a 2.5-liter turbocharged/intercooled Boxer engine delivering 224 horsepower and 226 lb.-ft. of torque. The turbo engine is teamed to an electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission that offers manual shifting when desired.
